How to Unlock Bootloader on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

Unlocking the bootloader on Google devices is the easiest thing ever. Unlocking bootloader on of Android devices on other manufacturers like Xiaomi, Sony devices takes time and patience to unlock the bootloader. The bootloader is the first piece of code that runs when your Pixel device turns on.

Part – 3 Unlock Bootloader on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Using Fastboot commands

Step 1. Power off your device and boot your device into fastboot mode. To do this, press and hold Volume up + Power at the same time to boot into fastboot mode.

OR

You can execute the following command to boot into fastboot mode

adb reboot bootloader

Step 2. Open the ADB folder and launch the Command prompt window there. (shift + right click anywhere empty space within that folder and click on open command prompt here).

Step 3. Now connect your device to your PC via USB cable and execute the following command. (This command will confirm that your device is connected to PC)

adb devices

Step 4. If your device is successfully connected, execute the following command to unlock your device bootloader

fastboot flashing unlock

Step 5. After the above command has finished executing, run the given command to reboot your device

fastboot reboot

Done!!! unlocked bootloader on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
