How To Root Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Today we’ve a guide on how to root Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and installing TWRP Recovery on it. If you have Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T211) then here is a good news for you that now you can easily root your device by flashing Chainfire’s SuperSU package and install TWRP recovery on it (XDA member gr8nole). For this purpose first you’ll need to install a custom recovery and then flashing SuperSU.

Before Getting Started:

Steps To Root Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 and Install TWRP

Step No 1:- First of all extract the Odin v3.09 flashing tool and run as Administrator on your PC.

Step No 2:- Now boot Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 into Download Mode. To do so first Turn Off your device and then press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power altogether for a while. Just press the Volume Up button to enter your device into the Download Mode after displaying the warning screen.

Step No 3:- Connect Galaxy Tab 3 to the PC via its USB cable.

Step No 4:- When “Added!!” appears on the Odin message box, then click on the AP button in Odin and choose T211.TWRP.2.7.1.0.KK.tar.md5 file that you’ve already downloaded from the above link.

Step No 5:- Click the Start button to initiate the flashing process.

Step No 6:- A PASS! or RESET! message will be displayed on Odin’s screen and your Galaxy Tab will automatically reboot once the TWRP recovery is installed successfully.

Step No 7:- The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 will take a while to boot up and then transfer UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.xx.zip file to your device.

Step No 8:- Boot your device into the Recovery Mode. First Turn Off your Galaxy Tab 3 and then press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power keys at the same time until you see the Samsung logo, now release the Power key but keep hold the Volume + Home button and you’ll see the TWRP menu.

Step No 9:- While your device is in Recovery Mode, just tap the Install button and find the UPDATE-SuperSU.zip file, select it.

Step No 10:- Flash SuperSU on your Galaxy Tab 3 by sliding the confirmation slider button.

Step No 11:- Reboot your Galaxy Tab 3 by navigating to Reboot -> System option.

That’s All! You’ve successfully rooted Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and TWRP is installed on it. Now you can find the newly installed SuperUser app in the app drawer. To confirm that if your device is properly rooted or not, just install and run the Root Checker App.
