Before Getting Started:
- First make a backup of all your precious data like SMS, MMS, Settings, Call Logs, Contacts etc.
- Download the firmware: ITV-T211XXBNF5-20140703170455.zip
- Download Odin v3.09
- Download & Install the latest Samsung USB Drivers on PC
- Enable USB Debugging on your Galaxy Tab 3.
- Your device’s battery must be charged at least 80% before starting the update process.
Steps To Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat
Follow these steps carefully to install the stock Samsung firmware on Galaxy Tab 3 7.0:
Step No 1:- First of all extract the firmware zip file ITV-T211XXBNF5-20140703170455.zip which you’ve downloaded from the above link, until you get the actual firmware with .tar.md5 extension.
Step No 2:- Now extract the Odin v3.09, open the Odin folder and run Odin Tool as an Administrator on your PC.
Step No 3:- Put your device into Download Mode. First power off your Galaxy Tab 3 and then press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power keys at the same time, until a warning screen appears, then press the Volume Up button to enter Download mode.
Step No 4:- While your device is in Download Mode, simply connect your Galaxy Tab 3 to your PC via USB cable.
Step No 5:- If your device’s drivers are properly installed, it will be detected by PC and the ID:COM port on Odin will turn blue.
Step No 6:- You’ll need to click the on PDA button on Odin Tool and choose the firmware file with .tar.md5 extension that you’ve extracted in Step No 1.
Step No 7:- Remember that the only two options that are 1.Auto Reboot and 2.F. Reset Time should be checked on Odin.
Step No 8:- Click the Start button, this process will take some time so have a cup of tea. Wait for the installation to be finished successfully within approx 2-4 minutes.
Step No 9:-Once the installation completed, your device will automatically rebooted.
Step No 10:- While booting your Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 SM-T211 for the first time after installation may take some more time. When the screen appears, navigate to Settings > About device and here you can verify the new Android version installed.
