As the ROM has not much new features but I am sure that you’ll enjoy its smooth performance. Here in this guide we’ve given steps to install VividROM Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on Nexus 5 devices. So if you are looking for a good custom ROM then VividROM is a good choice.
As VividROM is a custom ROM, thus you’ll need to have a custom recovery already installed on your device in order to flash the ROM and Google Apps .zip files.

Before Getting Started:
- Take a proper backup of all your important data and settings on your Nexus 5 such as SMS, MMS, APN Settings, Video and Audio files etc.
- Download and install USB drivers for LG Nexus 5 on the PC.
- Enable USB debugging option by navigating to Menu > Settings > Developer Options.
- Your Nexus 5 should be rooted.
- The latest version of a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP should be installed.
- Make sure that the battery level of the Nexus 5 is above 70%.

Steps to update Nexus 5 to Android 5.1.1 VividROM:
Step No 1:- First, download VividROM Android 5.1.1 custom ROM (Vivid-20150426v3-hammerhead.zip) from the above link, on the desktop your computer.
Step No 2:- Now connect the LG Nexus 5 to computer using its USB data cable.
Step No 3:- Copy the downloaded ROM file to the root folder of your SD card of the Nexus 5.
Step No 4:- Disconnect the phone and turn it OFF to boot into recovery mode.
Step No 5:- Turn ON the device while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power buttons altogether.
Use Volume keys to highlight and Power button to select once you are in the Recovery mode.
Step No 6:- Perform data wipe by navigating to wipe data/factory reset. Also wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache.
Step No 7:- Choose install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from Sdcard. Find the VividROM Android 5.1.1 Lollipop file that you have already placed in the root folder of your SD Card in Step No 3. Proceed to the installation.
Step No 8:- Once the installation is successfully completed, repeat the above steps to install Google Apps.
Step No 9:- Go back to the main menu of recovery and select reboot system now.
It will take about 4 to 5 minutes while booting for the first time after flashing the ROM and Gapps files.
