How to Install Unofficial CM12 Android 5.0.2 Lollipop ROM on LG G2 Mini D620

Note:

This tutorial having the unofficial CyanogenMod 12 build can be used only with the LG G2 Mini. Do not try to install this ROM on any other device or incorrect variant. You can check the model number of your device from Settings > About Phone > Model Number.

Before Getting Started:

• Make a proper backup of all your important data and settings using a recommended custom recovery on the phone before proceeding to the installation guide.
• Download and install the correct LG G2 Mini Drivers on the PC.
• Enable USB Debugging Mode on the LG G2 Mini.
• Your phone should be rooted with a custom recovery installed on it.
• Check the battery level of your LG G2 Mini, it should have at least about 80% of charge.

Steps to Update LG G2 Mini to CyanogeMod 12 unofficial ROM based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop:

Follow the given step-by-step guide to taste the tweaks and customizations of the CyanogenMod 12 ROM based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on your G2 Mini:

Step No 1:-  First, download the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop CM12 ROM (cm-12-20150223-UNOFFICIAL-g2m.zip) and Google Apps .zip files on the desktop of your PC for your LG G2 Mini. Do not extract ROM .zip file.

Step No 2:- Connect the LG G2 Mini to the PC using its USB Data Cable and mount the Mass Storage of the phone.

Step No 3:- Transfer the downloaded ROM and Google Apps files to the root folder of your SD card on the device.

Step No 4:- Now, disconnect the device from the PC and turn it OFF in order to boot into Recovery Mode.

Step No 5:- Turn ON the G2 Mini while pressing and holding Volume Up + Power keys at the same time for a while until the device enters into Recovery Mode.

Step No 6:- Go back to the main recovery menu and perform a full data wipe. This includes Dalvik cache, Cache, System, Factory data reset.

Step No 7:- Go back the main Recovery menu and choose install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard.

Step No 8:- Find the ROM and Gapps files that you’ve already transferred to the root folder of your SD Card in Step No 3. Select the Lollipop ROM file and proceed the installation process.

Step No 9:- Once the ROM is successfully installed on your LG G2 Mini, install Google Apps package by following the same procedure as given above.

Step No 10:- After the installation of CM12 Android 5.0.2 ROM and Google Apps, select reboot system now to reboot the LG G2 Mini.

It will take about 5 minutes to boots up for the first time after installing ROM on your phone.

Done! You have successfully updated LG G2 Mini to Unofficial CyanogenMod 12 custom build based Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

If after installing this ROM, you are facing issues or don’t like it then you can easily restore the previous ROM by booting the LG G2 Mini in Recovery Mode -> Select Backup and then choose the Restore Option.
