As the CyanogenMod team didn’t included the Galaxy S5 Mini in their list of Android phone for official CyanogenMod 12 Nightlies but thanks to jackeagle (recognized XDA contributor) for releasing CyanogenMod 12 unofficial alpha build for Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800H. Do note that this CM12 unofficial build is in its early stages and is under development, so you might expect some bugs or not working features but Nightly means that this ROM will receive updates regularly. This ROM has been tested by many users and they reported that most of the features are working fine in this release except some minor bugs as well as the camera. But the developers are busy to fix these issues and it is expected that it will be fixed in future release. This guide containing the CyanogenMod 12 unofficial ROM is working only with the Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800H. Do not try to flash this custom firmware on any other or incorrect variant. You can check the model number of your device by going to Settings > About Phone > Model Number.

Before Getting Started:
- It is highly recommended to take a proper backup of all your important data as well as settings before proceeding to the installation guide via any custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
- Download and install the correct Galaxy S5 Mini USB Drivers on your PC.
- Enable USB Debugging Mode on the S5 Mini by navigating to Settings > Developer Options.
- The Galaxy S5 should be rooted with TWRP recovery installed.
- The battery level of the Galaxy S5 Mini should be at least upto 80% charged before going ahead to the ROM installation instructions.

Steps to Update Galaxy S5 Mini SM-G800H to CyanogenMod 12 based Android 5.0.2 Lollipop:
Step No 1:- First, download the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop Unofficial CM12 Nightly ROM and Google Apps package from the above links on the desktop of your PC. Do not extract these files.
Step No 2:- Now, connect your S5 Mini to the PC using its USB data cable.
Step No 3:- Move the Android 5.0.2 CM12 Lollipop and Google Apps to the root folder of SD card on your phone.
Step No 4:- Now, disconnect the device from the PC and turn it OFF in order to boot into Recovery Mode.
Step No 5:- Turn ON the Galaxy S5 Mini while pressing and holding Volume Up + Home + Power keys at the same time for a while until the device enters into Recovery Mode.
Step No 6:- Go back to the main recovery menu and perform a full data wipe. This includes Dalvik cache, Cache, System, Factory data reset.
Step No 7:- Go back the main Recovery menu and choose install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard.
Step No 8:- Find the ROM and Gapps files that you’ve already transferred to the root folder of your SD Card in Step No 3. Select the Lollipop ROM file and proceed the installation process.
Step No 9:- Once the ROM is successfully installed on your Galaxy S5 Mini, install Google Apps package by following the same procedure as given above.
Step No 10:- After the installation of CM12 Android 5.0.2 ROM and Google Apps, select reboot system now to reboot the Galaxy S5 Mini.
It will take about 5 minutes to boots up for the first time after installing ROM on your phone.
