Before Getting Started:

  • Take a proper backup of all the important data on your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 before starting the rooting process.

Steps to Root Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat:

Follow the given tutorial to get root access on the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet:

Step No 1:- First, download the CF-Auto-Root package from the above links for your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

Step No 2:- Now extract the downloaded CF-Auto-Root package on the desktop of your PC to get “.tar.md5” file.

Step No 3:- Also extract the Odin v3.09 and run it as Administrator on your PC.

Step No 4:- In Odin tool, click on “PDA” and navigate to the folder where you’ve extracted the CF-Auto-Root package file.

Step No 5:- Remember to check the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options and the Re-Partition option should not be checked.

Step No 6:- Turn Off your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 to boot it into Download Mode.

Step No 7:- Now Turn it On by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously. Once a warning message appears, press Volume Up button to boot into download mode.

Step No 8:- While the tablet is in Download Mode, plug your Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 to the PC using a USB cable. Odin will detect the tablet in a while.

Step No 9:- In Odin, hit the Start button to initiate flashing the root package on the tablet.

Step No 10:- Once the flashing process is completed, a green “Pass!” message will be appeared on Odin. Navigate to app drawer and you should see now SuperSU app there.
